Introducing Leduc Chiropractor Dr. Bretton Baynes

As a collegiate rugby player it is no secret that I owe my health to chiropractic.  Not only did it prevent injuries but allowed me to compete at the highest level.

I received my first chiropractic adjustment when I was 15 years old.  I had hurt my neck after a body check during a hockey game. After seeing an M.D. he told me that it was a pinched nerve and that it would go away in a few days.  After no improvement a couple of days later my Mom took me to see a chiropractor.  After just one visit the pain cleared up entirely and I was back playing Hockey two days later.   As I continued through High School I became more interested in chiropractic.  I always thought of how rewarding it would be to have a career making people feel better.

Chiropractic Education

I only applied to one chiropractic college after finishing my under graduate studies.  Every chiropractor I talked to highly recommended Palmer College of Chiropractic even if they didn’t attend there.  It made sense that if I wanted to be my best, just like in athletics, I should train with the best.  So I headed south to Davenport, Iowa to the “Fountainhead of Chiropractic.”   It was exciting learning about the science, art and philosophy throughout my entire academic schedule. But it was while playing collegiate rugby that I saw firsthand the benefits chiropractic had on increasing athletic performance and injury prevention.  I continue to work with athletes here in Leduc; ask the Leduc ‘Junior B’ Riggers how they enjoy the benefits of regular chiropractic care.  I enjoy being the team chiropractor and keeping them as healthy as possible.

Personally

After graduating from Palmer with the honor of magna cum laude, my beautiful wife Trina and I decided to move to Leduc to set up a family-oriented Wellness Clinic.  It is my goal to educate everyone in our community about the benefits of proactive health care.  The body exhibits an innate intelligence that when uninterrupted is able to heal and maintain the body at peak performance.  We believe that with proper nutrition, exercise and natural chiropractic care our patients are healthier and will have increased quantity and quality of life.

Trina and I are both under regular chiropractic care and find it helps immensely with the everyday stresses of running a business.  When we are not in the office we are often attending educational seminars to increase our knowledge and improve our office for our patients.  We also enjoy working out, spending time with family and playing Frisbee with our dog.

Come visit Trina and I today to see how chiropractic can benefit you!

Dr. Trina Asks some important questions of interest to Leduc residents - Chiropractor Leduc Dr. Trina Asks...

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
Can a chiropractor heal?
There's never been a case in which a doctor (chiropractor or otherwise) has formed scar tissue, mended a broken bone or cured a headache. Only you can do that. Turns out you're the doctor! All I do is help remove interferences to your body's healing ability. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
